Kids want to have their private life, but parents have laways been concerned about children's well-being. Texting with cellphone brings freedom, doing something without parents knowing, to the kids. Kids, who are obsessed with texting or using cellphone don't want to put cellphone away even at the dinner table. Even though the messages are just about routine, they would text with friends rather than spending family time together.
As a result, some parents tried to study how to text, but their texting still very limited, so it wasn't enough to communicate with their children. In addition, Children keep creating acronyms to hide actual meaning to their parents. This is what I am concerned. If parents can catch up the texting culture, would the gap between parents and their kids be getting smaller? My answer is pretty skeptical.
